Petra Gruiters is a contemporary visual artist whose recent exhibition history reflects a growing presence in the European art scene. Her work has been featured in curated group exhibitions at Art3f Brussels (2024), Gallery Marquess in Mayfair, London during Frieze Week (2024), and Gallery Art Telex in Antwerp, where she participated in both “Colours of the World, Messages of Hope” (2023–2024) and “No Doom but Bloom” (2023). Other exhibitions include “Marriage Stories, Karine Huts” at Gallery Campo & Campo in Antwerp (2023) and “Hooggeeerd Publiek” at De Garage in Brasschaat (2023).

Gruiters has completed commissioned portraiture of public figures, including Mrs. R.W.J. Melissant, Mayor of Gorinchem (Netherlands), and Bart D’Eyckermans, Director of the Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp. In addition to her studio practice, she is actively engaged in the broader cultural field—serving as a juror for the Flemish Drawing Olympiades 2025 and designing the 2025 New Year’s card for the municipality of Brasschaat.

Her work has been featured in prominent Dutch newspapers such as Het Algemeen Dagblad and Het Kompas, and she has appeared as a guest on Radio Hoekse Waard in the Netherlands. Through her multifaceted practice and public engagement, Petra Gruiters continues to explore themes of human experience, visual storytelling, and collective reflection.
