Hüsniye Uğur was born in 1986 in Silifke, Mersin, Turkey, and developed an early passion for painting that has remained central to her life. After spending her formative years in Silifke, she moved to Ankara to pursue her studies at Hacettepe University, later relocating to Istanbul in 2010 for professional opportunities. Since 2014, she has dedicated herself fully to painting, working daily in her studio with a focused and evolving practice.
Uğur primarily works in oil, capturing the dynamic interplay of light and color across natural forms. Her work explores the vivid spectrum created by sunlight, interpreting the universe as a vibrant, radiant field of energy. Each canvas becomes an exploration of chromatic intensity and atmospheric mood, reflecting both technical control and emotional immediacy. Her art embodies a personal and poetic response to the visual phenomena of the world around her.
