Daphna Laszlo-Katzor is an accomplished visual artist and professional photographer whose career spans over four decades. She graduated from the photography department at The NB Haifa School of Design (1981–1984) and later expanded her expertise in digital image processing and computer graphics at Orian College, Tel Aviv, in 2000. Since 1984, she has worked as a professional photographer, specializing in commercial, fashion, and fine art photography.
As Director of Studio Shoot since 1986, Laszlo-Katzor has built a distinguished career in advertising and fashion photography. From 1983 to 1986, she worked as a fashion and portrait photographer for Ma’ariv newspaper. In parallel with her commercial practice, she has been a photography lecturer and educator since 2008, leading workshops and training sessions for groups, companies, and organizations.
Her work has received numerous accolades, including the Masterful Mind Award at the Circle Foundation for the Arts’ Artist of the Year 2024 competition, First Prize in the 21st Pollux Awards (Fine Art, Professional Section, 2024), and the Harmony for Humanity Global Consciousness Art Prize (2023). Additional honors include the International Donatello Prize (Florence, 2023), the Refocus World Photo Annual Nominee (2024), multiple awards in the Pollux and Julia Margaret Cameron Awards, and an early scholarship from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation (1982–1983).
Laszlo-Katzor’s recent exhibitions include FotoNostrum’s Bowie x Sukita (Barcelona, 2025), Art Expo New York (2025), and the London Biennale of Women in Art (2024). Her work is noted for its conceptual depth, technical mastery, and continuous evolution. In addition to her photographic achievements, she contributed eight paintings and accompanying commentary to the book Not Normal: Art in the Age of Trump by Karen Gutfreund (available on Amazon), further demonstrating her multidisciplinary engagement with contemporary social and political themes.
