Harry Goldstrom’s passion for photography began in childhood, starting with a Kodak Brownie camera in the Grand Tetons at age seven. By high school, he was borrowing his father’s Argus C3, and by college, he had purchased his first SLR camera and was processing prints in a makeshift darkroom. Although years passed before he returned to darkroom photography, Harry eventually moved to larger film formats, attending and teaching workshops while honing his skills. He primarily works in 4x5 format but also explores 6x6 cm, choosing traditional film and chemical processing over digital methods. The process of watching a print develop continues to excite him as much as capturing the image itself.
