"My inspiration comes from clean shapes, movement, and simplicity. Each medium—photography, sculpture, painting—allows me to explore the balance between strength and fragility differently, capturing the essential."

Talk to us about your work featured here. What are the main themes and ideas you explore in it?
For the sake of the environment, I transform what is left into something beautiful, rather than throwing it away. My papier-mâché horses, refined and soothing, take on their full meaning in a group, like a herd seen from afar, in harmony with nature.
Describe your creative process.
Recycle and create !!!
I must have fun making my sculptures even if it's messy... each horse has its personality which comes from the beginning when I form its body from hangers... the paper stages and especially the drying stages are long
What are the main influences and inspirations behind your art?

Alberto Giacometi, his slender sculptures without detail.
I like that the spectator understands what he wants and not necessarily the same thing as me
What do you consider the strongest aspect of your work?
The atmosphere that my horses create, their sizes and their fragility
What message or emotion do you hope viewers take away from experiencing your art?
The spectators watch the herd from afar and turn around to see the different points of view...it's very zen
The herd in different places and in photos is mysterious and leaves no one indifferent
What is the biggest challenge for an artist? What is the hardest part of this job?
The most difficult thing is organizing my time to practice my art...
What is the most rewarding part of being an artist?
People's reaction is spectacular and that's what pleases me the most
How do you balance tradition and innovation in your practice?
My herd of papier-mâché horses strikes a subtle balance between tradition and novelty. By preserving the art of shaping while giving it a modern and refined form, I create a connection between the past, nature and innovation, in a gesture that is both respectful and daring.
What does "good art" mean to you? What makes a piece of art great?
What makes the difference in art, whether in a simple workshop, a gallery or a museum, is the emotion that a work gives us. No matter the place, it is the way in which it touches us that really counts.
What is the role of the artist today?
I believe that the role of the artist today is to create beauty, to arouse zen, and to awaken emotions. In an often hectic world, art must be a pause, a breath, an invitation to feel and reconnect with what is essential.
