Wu Yin Ching, born in 1955 in Guangzhou, China, is a Hong Kong-based artist and esteemed writer with a rich career in creative writing. She has authored over 50 books, and her writings are featured in high school textbooks for Chinese Language and Literature. Wu Yin Ching taught creative writing at Hong Kong Baptist University for 29 years, imparting her literary knowledge and passion to generations of students.

Her artistic journey began at age 57 when she felt drawn to explore a new dream for her upcoming retirement years. In 2014, she dedicated herself to watercolor painting, practicing daily and falling deeply in love with the medium. Occasionally, she expands her artistic range by working with acrylics and colored pencils. Her artworks are strongly influenced by her literary background, including her focus on comparative and Chinese literature and her M.Phil. in Tang Dynasty Chinese poetry. Wu Yin Ching’s artistic expression is a natural extension of her literary appreciation for beauty, poetry, and timeless themes.
