Growing up in Florida in the late 1950s and 1960s, M. Kathleen Warren was immersed in a vibrant community where storytelling and artistic expression were integral. Encouraged from a young age, she explored different media through school programs, private lessons, and personal experimentation.
Warren discovered her passion for photography early on, falling in love with the magic of the darkroom. She later pursued a degree in photography at Daytona State College, where she studied under diverse image-makers and refined her technical and conceptual approach.
Her professional background spans multiple disciplines, from working with horses to teaching biological sciences at the college level—experiences that have deepened her artistic vision. She now devotes much of her time to creating mixed media works in her personal studio.
Actively engaged in the art community, Warren participates in artist organizations, teaches workshops, and shares her knowledge with students in Florida. Her art practice remains rooted in storytelling and personal narrative, continually evolving as she embraces new creative challenges.
