Matthew da Silva is an Australian artist and poet who began his artistic journey in 2022, focusing on watercolours and paramontages—works that synthesize poetry and photography. With a background in editorial work and journalism, da Silva integrates storytelling into his visual art, often exploring themes of reality and the narratives that shape our perceptions.

He has held solo exhibitions in Sydney and Goulburn, Australia, and his works have been featured in group shows in London, Madrid, and Brooklyn. Notable exhibitions include the World Pride group show at Tiliqua Tiliqua in 2024 and an upcoming show, "Artistry Alchemy: Transformation on Canvas," at Streeters Gallery in New York in 2025.

A published poet, da Silva's book ‘Gold 4WD’ accompanied his Goulburn exhibition and reflects his multidisciplinary approach to art. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and a Master of Media Practice from the University of Sydney.

Da Silva founded the Eastern Suburbs Art Group (Esag) to foster community engagement in the arts. His works, blending watercolour, collage, and photography, reveal a unique commentary on contemporary life, inviting viewers to reflect on constructed realities and the transformative potential of discarded materials.
